Roar For Tony Day 50!

Via Catherine Garneau: Activist Anthony Marr has met with the public and media in Grosse Tete, LA at the “Tiger Truck Stop” regarding the captivity of Siberian Tiger, Tony. He has spoken personally, via phone, to Tony’s owner, Michael Sandlin, and set up a private meeting with him tomorrow to discuss the relocation of Tony to a sanctuary. In the meantime, check out Anthony’s interview regarding Tony tonight on Baton Rouge TV 3, and in the Baton Rough newspaper “The Advocate”!!”

Anthony is currently on his 7th CARE – Compassion for Animals Tour across the USA and will make a stop in Grosse Tete, LA, to assess the problem with the captive tiger, Tony.  Please see Anthony’s bio and credentials, below:

Anthony Marr is a world renown environmentalist and animal rights activist, has a degree in physics and is the author of 2 books on environmental issues. A wildlife preservationist since 1995, he has been to India three times in conservation efforts for the Bengal Tiger.  His work in India garnered him the title of  “Champion of the Bengal Tiger”  in the award-winning TV-documentary series “Champions of the Wild”  which aired in 20 countries on the Discovery andNational Geographic channels.   He has also been to Japan, twice, for the whales and dolphins, and was recently honored with the title “Best All-Around Activist of 2010” by two top animal rights organizations. He has conducted several high-profile campaigns against the seal and grizzly bear hunts in Canada, deer culls and sea lion extermination in the US.  Anthony has conducted 6 Compassion For Animals Road Expeditions (CARE) with this being his 7th such tour.
