Thanks again to Ian Somerhalder for his shout outs for Tony today and to all of Ian’s (and Tony’s) Twitter friends for their support as well.

At the recent EyeCon convention Tony was also mentioned in Ian’s Q&A session by a member in the audience and acknowledged with a “Free Tony” from Ian. Part 1 of Ian’s’ Q&A can be viewed at the end of this post. Pay special attention around 6:50.

Because of Ian ( #BecauseofIan ) more people have come to learn about this beautiful tiger who has been kept for 10 long years as a roadside attraction in the unnatural and unhealthy environment of a truck stop. Raising awareness for Tony is very important because it keeps Tony’s story active while continuing to work towards a proper home for him. Easy ways to network for Tony:

Share the links to his Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, and WordPress pages and Big Cat Rescue’s (Tampa FL) FreeTony, etc. on social networking sites. If you have a blog consider a post about Tony or adding some of Tony’s links to your blogroll. Another great way to get the word out about Tony is to add some or all of these links to the signature block of your outgoing emails. You’ll be letting people know about Tony with each email you send. Visit Tony’s take Action page for more info: https://freetonythetiger.wordpress.com/take-action/

  1. How is the owner of Tony allowed to keep him in this way – does he have some kind of hold on the powers that be? Surely it cant be legal to keep a wild animal in these conditions, breathing in fumes day and night. Gas stations are not circuses, people will still need gas and food whether there is an “attraction” to be seen or not. Get real America, give Tony a break and give him the retirement he deserves. Hasnt he been a freak show long enough?

  2. Can’t Tony be removed because of health issues? If his physical well-being is in jeopardy, the SPCA should be able to take him out of that situation and relocate him to a proper home.
